Services

I help moms and teens glide their way to more ease and connection without sacrificing years of their lives stuck in struggle.

Getting support for your teen may feel like the most important thing. It is, AND it’s important for you to get support too.

Connected Moms

Perfect for moms like you who want relief from the constant struggle and are looking for ways to feel more confident in what you say and do.

  • You want more ease, and trust, in your relationships (with yourself, and your loved ones) you want to release your constant need for control

  • You’re ready to deal with your own stuff because it’s showing up again and again and making it hard for you to be there for them

  • You know that you need to take care of yourself so you can show up for your family, but you don’t know how

  • You’re tired of feeling like you have no idea what you’re doing, and feeling like you’re messing things up

Confident Teens

This is the right option if you’re tired of seeing your teen struggle and feel like you never say the right thing. You are exhausted from trying to wear two hats: mom and coach/therapist. You want to know your child has a trusted adult to talk to about their big ideas and feelings.

Or perhaps your teen has expressed:

  • Anxiety

  • Insecurity

  • Feelings of not fitting in

  • Having no one to talk to

  • Challenges with body image and eating

  • Struggling with their identity

  • Feeling big waves of emotion

  • Struggling with a  desire to do anything

  • Confused by friends or crushes

 FAQs

ABOUT COACHING

  • After our call together, I will also have a call with your teen. I have yet to get on a call with a teen who did not want to schedule another call. If you can’t get them to get on the first connection call, they are probably not ready. I’m happy to work with you and see if they change their mind.

  • Trust and honesty are two of my highest values, and I take your trust in me very seriously. This is something we establish in the first call together and throughout the coaching relationship. I have worked with teens for years, both in a school setting and privately. My number one goal is to support your teen and you to a place of more connection and ease.

  • Yes, my kids are young, (my 10 year old is moving quickly towards tween time) and you’re right, parenting teens is a totally different can of worms. Aside from my college degree in child development, my three years as a middle school classroom teacher, and my 4 years coaching teens, I have a 25 year old stepson who lived with us through his extremely challenging teen years. I wish I would have known then what I know now.

  • We can schedule a call and discuss the best way to proceed. Maybe it is something that we can work through, or maybe my services are not best for your family at this time. There are situations where I make the call to refer out to a therapist or other service provider who can better support you. I will support you in this process.

  • Great question. There are many similarities and many differences. I will only speak about my coaching services and my experience with therapy.

I always start a coaching relationship with a goal. What is the client's (teen and adult) goal they are working towards. Over the course of our time together we may veer off this direct path when things in life come up that need to be addressed, but we are always checking back in and keeping the goal top of mind.

I will always ask some form of this question at the start of a session if it does not come up naturally, “What do you want to work on today?” “How can I support you today?” and often “What would you like to walk away with?”

At the end of each session, I will check in with you or your teen to see what actions you want to work on for the next two weeks between sessions.

You have Voxer support with me between sessions to share wins, ask questions, and just give me an update. I will check in with you in the week between sessions if I have not heard from you.

  • Confident teens is priced on a sliding scale from $1000-$1,500 for 3 months. This includes 6, 45 minute sessions with 1 bonus session to be used for your teen, for you, or for both of you.

  • Connected Moms is priced per session. It is suggested to work with me for 6+ months with biweekly session for best results. Sessions are on a sliding scale from $200-$300 per session.

  • No homework per se, but we will set small goals or challenges at the end of each session. I know how busy mom life is, so this will be small things like adding in a short breathing exercise or a few moments of mindfulness. Or it might be having a hard conversation in a different way, setting a boundary, or taking yourself out for a coffee or tea to celebrate yourself. I will encourage some sort of self reflection practice, but you get to decide what works for you.

  • After working with many teens and moms, I can comfortably say that getting support for yourself is in turn supporting your teen. When you can show up for them in a more regulated way, you can be the person they share with. Having a regulated nervous system and being able to respond to your teen and all the other things life as a mom throws at you is the golden ticket to connection, trust, ease, and grace in motherhood. And that is what we will be spending our 6 months doing.

  • Of course. That is one of the things I offer in my Confident Teens coaching package, and I would love to do that for you too if/when the time is right.

  • We talk about the past too because that is where so much of today’s challenges come from. We don’t hang out in the past for too long, but we will do some inner child work, and identify why certain things are so triggering for you. That being said, you must feel safe with me and safe talking about things, so we will move slowly and gently through painful memories.
